Recorder

We just finished a 10-minute performance on campus on 21 October, with “Symphony I” by William Boyce and “Sing, Sing, Sing!”, both for recorder quartet. The next quartets for the club’s semester performance are a contemporary piece written by my friend and another interesting piece, “Popcorn!” by Raphael Benjamin Meyer.

Boshiamy

I’m now using Squirrel (鼠鬚管), but I’m still overcoming problems like: the system switches to ABC by itself and I have to switch it back; the bopomofo look-up tool can’t input 一聲 with a space because it conflicts with the “confirm” button… God.

Mechanical keyboards

I eventually found out that the keyboard right on the laptop is still the one I’m most familiar with. Maybe I should find another kind of keyboard with shorter travel and a simpler sound.
